Cise-Alert Vip Days organized by ASI in September

On 11 and 12 September 2024, the headquarters of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) in Rome will host the presentation of the results and demonstration of scenarios of CISE-ALERT (CISE’s operationalization launch through A Long Endurance and Real live Test).

The two-day event will focus on how to access first-hand information and knowledge on CISE services and will offer the opportunity to view the demonstration benefits of CISE-ALERT, the EU funded project aimed at pre-operational validation of services provided on the CISE network infrastructure. 

The Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) is an initiative of the European Union focused on integrated maritime surveillance, within the European Maritime Security Strategy (EMSS), in order to ensure a rapid exchange of data and information among the competent maritime authorities, or any third parties involved, from the Member States of the 7 CISE user communities (Defence, Law Enforcement, Border Control, Customs, Maritime Environment, Fisheries Control e Maritime Safety and Security).

The scenarios presented will address topics that are very important for the EU maritime sector: drug trafficking, Search And Rescue (SAR), pollution, pre-arrival clearance, illegal fishing, critical infrastructure protection, illegal immigration.
