On 15 and 16 December 2022, the headquarters of the National Research Council (CNR) will host the 5^th edition of the Avogadro Colloquia, a discussion forum on challenging and urgent themes related to chemical sciences, environment, and societal needs. 

The conference is part of the events which will take place for the celebration of CNR 100^th anniversary and is jointly organized by the Italian Chemical Society (SIC) and the National Research Council (CNR), Department of Chemical Sciences and Materials Technology.

The event will focus on the major role played by hydrogen in bringing about a successful transition to a low-carbon and sustainable society, and will consist of four thematic sessions:

• Green hydrogen production and utilization
• Hydrogen storage and transportation
• Chemicals from hydrogen
• Decarbonization and hydrogen policies
