From 15 to 17 March 2023, the headquarters of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) will host the “Space Biomedicine for Future Human Space Exploration Missions: a Call to Action” Symposium.

The event aims at exploring ideas and proposals for technologies and research lines in space biomedicine in order to share the existing heritage and identify the strengths and issues, if any, for strengthening the research sector.

The event is open to public and private Universities, Scientifical and Technological Research Bodies and enterprises, since it offers the opportunity to promote the dialog between research teams from a wide range of disciplines and industries already actively involved in the space sector. The Symposium also encourages participation of new stakeholders from the national scientific community and enterprises.

The ultimate goal of this meeting is the creation of an interdisciplinary network and the promotion of related activities to synergically contribute to future scientific missions, both nationally and globally.

The event will be hybrid: the speakers will be onsite, while attendees will connect remotely, after
