Summer School 2022 at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn

The summer school on “The Evolution of Enzymes and Metabolic Pathways in Marine Organisms: Analysis, Understanding and Implications for Biotechnology”, organized by Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, will be held in Naples from 28 to 30 June 2022.

The programme will include theoretical lectures on the function and evolution of enzymes and metabolic pathways, as well as an overview of metabolic pathway engineering and optimization for biotechnological applications. Lectures will be integrated with practical tutorials on the use of public databases and software, as well as high-throughput analyses.

The course is designed for PhD students, postdocs and young researchers with basic knowledge of the structure and evolution of enzymes. Registration is mandatory to attend the event.

Participants, maximum 25 people, will be encouraged to work with their own laptops.

The scientific programme of the summer school is supported by Assemble Plus, the Association of European Marine Biology Laboratories, in the framework of “Knowledge Exchange and Training courses for new users”. The event is sponsored by the European Commission and by SIB-Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
