On 20 March 2024, the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) launched the new FRES (Fund for Economic and Social Research) call, with a budget of more than €23 million.
The call, addressed to associations, foundations, research institutions and other legal entities, aims at funding public and private projects focused on less-developed territorial areas, lagging behind due to the COVID-19-emergency-related economic and social impact.
Research bodies involved in scientific activities which are interested in applying for the funding shall submit their applications, individually or jointly with up to a maximum of 3 applicants, from 20 March until 24 April at 12:00. The projects should have a maximum duration of 24 months and the funds to be allocated to each project will range from €400,000 and one million euro.
