The National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS) has recently inaugurated the new headquarters in Livorno, where researchers and employees will be involved in oceanographic activities, focusing especially on quantum ecology and oceanographic modeling.
A collaboration with the Inter-Universitary Centre for Marine Biology “G. Bacci” in Livorno is already underway, and additional partnerships with other research bodies located in the area and Tuscany universities are being developed in order to expand the scientific activities and collaborations of the Institute.
The Councillor for Innovation and University of the Municipality of Livorno, Barbara Bonciani, the OGS President, Nicola Casagli and Director General, Paola del Negro, and Simone Libralato, researcher at the OGS Section of Oceanography and responsible for the new headquarters attended the inauguration.
